How to Root Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 (International Version)

To Root Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100

You need the following
1) Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 Tablet
2) Micro USB to USB cable to connect Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 with your PC/laptop
3) PC Odin 3.07 Software
4) CF-Auto-Root-kona3g-kona3gxx-gtn510 zip file

On your Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 tablet
1) Press the  volume down , power button and home button simultaneously to enter into the download mode.

2) Press and hold for few seconds till you see the screen with "warning" message

3) Now press the volume up button to continue.

4) Now connect the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 to the Laptop/PC using the micro usb to USB cable.

On your Computer:-

1) Open PC Odin 3.07

2) Once connected you will find the message "added" and on top "COM6" or "COM4" etc. This will vary for everyone.

 

  

3) Now add the file CF-Auto-Root-kona3g-kona3gxx-gtn5100.tar in the PDA section like shown in the picture below

4) Now you are ready to root. Just click on "Start" in the "PC odin" and it will take around 5 minutes to finish the process.

5) Your device will reboot and you should find SuperSU in the applications.

6) Go to Google "Play Store". Update the SuperSU and install "busybox installer".

7) Thats it. You are all set to install root applications and customize your device.
