File Transfer between Android Device and Computer using Wireless and FTP

There are many ways to transfer files between Android mobile/device wirelessly.

One of the methods is using FTP server and client software.

On Your Android device:-

1)      Install any ftp server software which is easy to use from android market.  There are many ftp server software’s available for free.  Let’s take “Swiftp server”.
2)      Open the “Swiftp server” software on your android mobile/device.
3)      Go to “setup” and in the “settings” choose any “username” and “password”.  The port number you can give 2121 or any port number of your choice.
4)      Check the box where it says “Accept from wifi” and then save the settings.
5)      Then you will have “start”, “instructions” and “setup”. Click on “start”.
6)      Now the ftp server on your android mobile/device has started.  It will provide you with the ip address that you will require to connect from your computer.

On Your Computer:-

1)      Download “filezilla client” software from filehippo.com. It’s a freeware.
2)      Install the software.
3)      Open the “filezilla client” on your computer.
4)      Now you have to enter the same “ip address” ,“username”, “password” and “Port number” that you gave in “Swiftp server “on your android mobile/device.
5)       Once you entered all these details click on “connect”.
6)      That’s it. You should now be connected to your android mobile/device.

Example:-
I gave the user name as android and password as 123456 in my Swiftp server on my android mobile.  The port number is 2121. When I click on “connect” it gives me the ip address as 192.168.2.10:2121
Now in the ftp client on my computer, I will then open filezilla client software. I will enter the host as 192.168.2.10. Username will be “android” and password will be 123456. Port number will be 2121.

This is the simplest way to transfer files between computer and android mobile/device using wifi. Using this method you can transfer multiple files faster, easier and more efficiently.

How to setup a remote desktop connection between two computers running on Windows XP

Let us assume there are two computers Computer 1 and Computer 2. Both are running Windows XP. You are trying to connect from Computer 2 from Computer 1 using Remote Desktop.

Note:- Computer 1 and Computer 2 should be in same network

On Computer 2

1)  Set a password for the account using which you logged into to the computer. For example:- you have a user called "Andrew". Then you have to set a password for this account. This is very important. Otherwise remote desktop connection won't work.

I have already set the password and that is why it is showing "change my password". If there is no password set it will show "create password".  By clicking on that you can set the password for the account

2) Enable Remote desktop

"Allow users to connect remotely" should be checked.

On Computer 1

1) Open Remote Desktop

To open Click on Start -> All Programs ->  Accessories --> Select Remote Desktop Connection

Type the ip address of the computer 2 and username Andrew

In this example the ip address of computer 2 is 192.168.0.129

Click on Connect.

3) Now a dialog box will open asking you to enter the password

Enter the right password and you should able to take remote of Computer 2

It is very simple procedure and takes hardly 5 minutes to setup.

Remote Desktop Connection is very useful and makes you feel as if you are sitting in front of the remote computer.

Without password it will give an error say "unable to logon because of account restriction"

TTT (Today’s Terror Trouble)

What do they want?
Why do they kill?
Whom do they target?
How does it thrill?
Causing endless bloodshed
Nightmares repeatedly haunt
Innocent are the victims
Amputated, tortured and dead
Because of bizarre terror whims
Decades of detrimental wars
And yet nobody wins
Leaving incisive painful scars
Terror has no mercy
No religion no humanity
Oblivious in their killing spree
Culpable for their atrocity
United we fight against terrorism
Effacing permanently these dastardly acts
Unfetter the world from their sadism
For Peace and serenity to embrace bereaved hearts
